This enhanced bleed control kit contains protective medical supplies to stop excessive bleeding
- Contains items to treat catastrophic bleed injuries and stabilise a casualty before professional medical help arrives
- Essential first aid supplies such as foil blanket to maintain body heat, resuscitation face shield to protect against cross infection and tuff cut clothing scissors
- Emergency Tourniquet applies pressure to stop excessive bleeding from severe limb injuries
- Ideal for keeping with standard first aid and emergency response supplies
- Easy to grab and distribute to treat casualties in an emergency
- Control severe bleeding with the Chito-Sam 100 Haemostatic Dressing in conjunction with a pressure bandage or tourniquet
- Contains specialist super-absorbent Trauma Dressings which are thicker and more robust than regular dressings absorbing double their weight in fluids
- The Health and Safety Executive state, following a risk assessment: “First aid provision must be 'adequate and appropriate in the circumstances'. This means that you must provide sufficient first aid equipment (first aid kit), facilities and personnel at all times”
- A simple and affordable investment for long term protection. Only sterile elements need to be replaced after approximately 5 years at minimal cost, non-sterile contents provide cover for even longer
- No site operator regrets having adequate provision to manage critical injuries and save lives, even if outside of the scope of Martyn’s Law, with public attacks becoming more unpredictable
Workplaces, premises, facilities or sites with any hazards such as machinery,
equipment, sharp or moving objects which could cause critical injuries such as major bleeding must have
first aid provision to treat them. The simple and small investment of adding bleed control products to
existing first aid provisions helps bridge the ‘care gap’ and could save lives.
